Day 16: Asgore

Despite being portrayed as the main obstacle to your leaving the underground, we mostly get to know asgore through his subjects, as a kindhearted ruler.  And despite the fact that he wants to take your soul you can't help but feel sorry for him.  I was honestly extremely intimidated about trying him. Mostly because he embodies  some of the things that I'm  not very comfortable  drawing, large, bulky, male, animal characters.  With facial hair! But in the end, I sucked it up and took a crack at it, and to be honest I'm kind of happy with the result. 
As much as I would have loved to draw him as the strong savior of the underground, it seems more fitting that we see him is a soft character who simply wants to find hope and happiness for his people, and maybe share a cup of tea
